So…What’s New?
It’s been far too long since I’ve posted any updates. I’ll try to give a brief overview of what’s new here at Paper Bird Studio & Design.

Recovery from Hand Injury
I spent much of Summer/Fall 2017 recovering from a pretty serious injury with a wood shaper that very nearly resulted in me losing fingers on my left hand. Fortunately, the doctors did a good job putting it back together (more or less). I’ll have some permanent limitations and my fingers aren’t pretty to look at, but I’m very fortunate to still have all of my digits!

More Tueller Wall Easels on the Way
I’m pleased to report that I’ve been back in my woodworking shop, working on my largest batch of easels yet. I’ve got many thousands of board feet of extremely nice locally harvested, kiln dried red oak and white oak. My brother Larry has been joining me here and there to help me with milling and assembly. Those of you who have already signed up for product availability notifications — keep an eye on your inbox. The website may continue to show no inventory, but know that have indeed been making and shipping wall easels. For anyone who plans on ordering, it’s a good idea to sign up for wait-list notifications to get yourself in the queue.

Changes to the Website
Cindy and I finally got around to moving our portfolios to their own websites. If you’ve arrived here looking for Cindy’s photography services, her new site is cindytueller.net. A small selection of my paintings are now at jasontueller.net. This means that the Paper Bird Studio & Design website will be primarily about the wall easels.

Some Shameless Self-Congratulations
We recently won the top prize in a business pitch competition put on by the Floyd County Economic Development Authority. (Think Shark Tank but on a smaller scale, without the reality show drama.) This proved a fantastic learning experience, while providing some great encouragement to keep pushing through setbacks. We are feeling very enthusiastic about our business for 2018!

New Products on the Horizon
I can’t unveil anything just yet, but sometime in 2018 I’ll be introducing a very cool new product. I really wish I could say more!
