[UPDATE] This post is an old post. All is well and we’re making easels!
I have been contacted by many nice people wishing to purchase wall easels. Too often, I have been slow to reply and unable to provide an exact time frame for when I expect to resume selling easels. I should explain why…
Earlier this year, we learned that my wife Cindy was positive for a hereditary disorder known as Lynch Syndrome. As the seriousness of the diagnosis became clear, some difficult decisions had to be made. Ultimately, this meant that she was to undergo a number of surgeries throughout the summer. Given the uncertainties, the recovery time and having a three year old son to raise, work here at Paper Bird Studio necessarily had to be put on the back burner. This meant, no painting and no woodworking. Taking care of my beloved wife and our little boy are my priority. Work can wait. I am so very proud of Cindy and how she has met these challenges. She is my superhero.
In the meantime, I have received many, many requests for the wall easels. I will not be able to fulfill all of the requests as quickly as would be hoped. But trust that I fully intend to return to my woodworking shop throughout the fall and winter. My sincere apologies to those of you who have been waiting months to purchase one of the wall easels. There will be more coming.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Jason Tueller
I left my name a month or so ago regarding a wall easel. I now recognize why the delay. Please be assured that my wife’s prayers and mine are with you. Hug your wife and boy for us. We can wait.
All the best

I hope that your new wall easel serves your studio well for many years!
Your easels are amazing and such a great idea! I was ready to order when I saw your alert on ‘health issues’. Felt like a punch to the gut and I had understand all too well that place. So very sorry for wife’s diagnosis. You sound like such a hardworking, devoted father and husband, she is in a good place with you too. I will wait until available. Sending our prayers to you and your family.
